The Allianz Gravel Ride & Race Bern can be held without the need for a covid-19 certificate. The authorities of the Canton of Bern have approved the protection concept developed by the organizers and has not assessed the event as a “major event”.
The most important protective measures:
- Mandatory wearing of masks at the start of the Gravel Race and Ride
All participants of the Gravel Ride and Race must wear a mask when standing at the start until shortly before the start. After announcement by the speaker the mask can be taken off and stowed in the own jersey pocket.
- Mandatory wearing of masks in the indoor areas
The only indoor areas at the event are the start number distribution, toilets and showers/checkrooms. There, masks are compulsory for everyone over the age of 12.
- Renouncement of further indoor rooms
catering will take place outdoors. The covered seating is under open tents.
- Entrance control in the catering area
A maximum of 500 people will be admitted to the area of the festival grounds with catering services. If this number is reached, no more people will be admitted.
- Call to keep distance and wear masks
In principle, no one is forced not to keep the minimum distance of 1.5 meters for more than 15 minutes at the event. Nevertheless, visitors are asked to keep a constant distance and, if necessary, to wear a mask during short-lived accumulations.
