The Gravel Ride & Race Bern is constantly evolving. After the last event, we received very good, valuable and constructive feedback in a survey of all participants and took it to heart. So, you can expect some adjustments and improvements for this year’s event!
- Separate start for women with a license!
Licensed women can now have their own race, the start will take place 15 minutes before the big mass start, i.e. at 11:45 am. This is in recognition of the high quality of the women’s race.
- Course adjustments on the first 15 kilometers!
90% of participants were stuck in traffic last year – often several times. That’s why we’re doing away with the narrow sections on the first 15 kilometers. This guarantees more flow, more fun and safety because we could also eliminate the only passage on a major main road.
- New start times for the VCS Family Ride!
The start times of the VCS Family Ride will be pushed back and will now take place between 1.45 and 2.45 pm. The latest finish is at 3.45 pm. This means that families will arrive at the finish line after the large gravel masses and therefore more safely.
- More food on offer!
Our event is constantly growing. We are taking this fact into account and are significantly expanding our catering offer. Our streetfood festival will continue to focus on quality. We will have an extremely wide range of food on site. More information will follow.
- Expansion of the event area!
Where previously “only” the children’s offers were, on the other side of the gastro and expo area, there will now also be an expo and gastro area. More people, more Expo, more gastronomy, more space. And don’t worry: the offer for children and families will remain the same!
