The Gravel Ride & Race Bern is becoming the Gravel Festival Bern! The long-standing Bern gravel event is turning a new page: from 2026, the event will be known by a new name. What began as a sporting competition has long since evolved into a comprehensive experience for the entire scene – the new name reflects this development perfectly.
Since 2018, the event has seen itself as a meeting place for the community, a showcase for the local and national bike industry, and the ‘last party of the year’ for everyone who lives the gravel spirit. From the first coffee in the morning to the presentation of the latest bike models and the diverse range of food on offer: this is all about meeting people, sharing ideas and a shared passion – on and off the track.
A venue that makes the festival possible
With the move to the vonRoll site, the experience has expanded significantly once again. The exhibition area, covering around 3,600 square metres, invites visitors to linger and offers space for inspiration, interaction and a genuine festival atmosphere.
Thanks to the support of the University and PH Bern and the City of Bern, the event has been able to further establish itself at its new location as a vibrant meeting place for the entire scene.
The new name: a logical step
“We are Switzerland’s oldest and largest gravel event. Last year, we recorded over 1,400 registrations for the first time and welcomed a total of around 3,500 visitors. Anyone looking around the site saw one thing above all else: smiling faces, encounters and pure enthusiasm. It is precisely this feeling that defines our event – and that is exactly why the new name is only logical,” says Christian Rocha, OC President and owner of crossroads Event und Kommunikation GmbH, which has been organising the event since 2018.
With the rebranding, the focus will be even more firmly on what has always defined the event: community, experience and festival atmosphere – both on and off the track. The Gravel Festival Bern thus remains the meeting place for the scene, a stage for innovation and a shared end-of-season celebration for everyone who loves gravel.
