What is Gravel Travel?

Gravel Travel is more than just a series of stages. It is a consciously designed travel experience on a gravel bike.

We combine carefully scouted routes under professional guidance, good infrastructure and what really matters on the road: scenery, flow, community and the feeling of being part of a small group of like-minded people.

Planned and executed by crossroads Event und Kommunikation GmbH, the organiser of Switzerland’s largest gravel event, the Gravel Ride & Race Bern and the legendary Gravel Trans Jura.

The Trips

Two trips, one feeling: the genuine experience of travelling on gravel. In the Engadin, panoramic views and active days are combined with comfort. On the route from Baden to Nyon through the Jura Mountains, the journey takes you across the country, stage by stage.

Engadin

The Engadin is a high alpine gravel paradise. Wide plateaus, quiet side valleys, gravel roads and panoramic views – combined with stationary accommodation and luggage transport.

This trip is aimed at anyone who wants to combine active days in the saddle with comfort, fine dining and evenings spent together.

Gravel Travel is aimed at sporty gravel cyclists who are looking for more than just a normal cycling holiday

  • You feel comfortable on longer stages, have gravel experience and appreciate an offer that places more emphasis on the experience than the watts produced.
  • Not suitable for absolute beginners.

E-Bikes & Setup

E-gravel bikes are possible with Gravel Travel

Depending on the trip, different requirements apply.

  • Engadin: E-gravel bikes are no problem (charging available in hotels)
  • Bikepacking Jura: Only suitable to a limited extent (bring your own charger)
