Engadin

Gravel between the high Alps and the national park

16.08 – 20.08.2026

The Engadin Edition from Gravel Travel combines two regions, diverse landscapes and five unforgettable days on a gravel bike. High alpine expanses in the Upper Engadin, a connecting bridge along the Inn and unspoilt tranquillity in the Lower Engadin – accompanied by professional guides, evenings spent together and carefully selected accommodation.

Day 1 – Arrival & settling in
(Upper Engadin)

ca. 40 km / 400 vm

Arrival in Bever / first tour

We meet at 12 noon in Bever. After a quick hello and getting changed, we set off around 1:30 pm for our first ride. The ride to the Engadin lakes is deliberately kept moderate so that we can settle in, get rolling and get to know each other – the landscape, the group and the rhythm of the coming days. Back at the hotel, we will check into our rooms. The welcome drink on offer will then give us an opportunity to get to know each other even better.

Overnight stay: Bever Lodge, Bever

Day 2 – discover the Upper Engadin

ca. 60 km / 800 vm

Lakeviews from Bever

The second day is all about the Upper Engadin. Wide plains, quiet side roads, gravel tracks and panoramic views characterise this stage. The route is varied, carefully scouted and offers exactly what the Upper Engadin is known for: space, light and flow.

In the afternoon, we return to Bever Lodge – time for wellness, good food and conversation.

Overnight stay: Bever Lodge, Bever

Day 3 – Transfer to the Lower Engadin

ca. 60 km / 1100 vm

Along the River Inn (with luggage transport)

On the third day, we change regions. The transfer stage takes us along the Inn from the Upper to the Lower Engadine. A day with a travelling character, steady progress and a noticeable change in landscape.

Our luggage is transported for us – we concentrate entirely on cycling and being on the move.

Overnight stay: Hotel Üja, Scuol

Day 4 – Queen stage

ca. 100 km / ~2’500 vm

Three-country ride from Scuol

The queen stage of the trip. A long loop across national borders, through alpine landscapes and historic towns. The Costainas Pass is the highlight of the day – scenically impressive, physically demanding, but easy to ride.

A day to remember – not for the numbers, but for the moments.

Overnight stay: Hotel Üja, Scuol

Day 5 – Farewell in the Lower Engadin

Final ride in the group

Lakes, castles and secluded high valleys from Scuol

To conclude, we will take one last trip around Scuol. Once more on gravel, once more through unfamiliar countryside, once more travelling together.

After the tour, individual journey home from Scuol.
